Interim Head, Human Resources

Patty Johns Patty Johns is Interim Head, Human Resources, responsible for the Company’s global human resources organization. Prior to this role, Patty was the SVP, Global HR Shared Services, responsible for developing and implementing a global shared services strategy to deliver multi-tiered HR services globally. Patty is a member of Manulife’s Executive Leadership Team, as well as the Human Resources Leadership Team.

Prior to her current role, Patty was the SVP, HR Partner to Group Functions where she provided expertise to senior leaders across Manulife’s functional areas. During her 20 years with Manulife, she has served in a variety of roles as a trusted advisor, providing expertise in a range of areas, from talent management and executive recruitment to global HR strategy. She has also led efficiency and effectiveness initiatives inside the HR function.

Patty holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier, as well as Certificates in HR Management from Humber College, Queen’s University, and the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto. She has also earned the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation. She is a member of the Human Resources Professional Association Board.
